Syracuse dominant in 78-60 win over No. 16 Virginia Tech

Quincy Guerrier scored a team-high 20 points and Alan Griffin posted a double-double as Syracuse pulled away from No. 16 Virginia Tech for a 78-60 victory in Atlantic Coast Conference action Saturday afternoon in Syracuse, N.Y.Griffin also blocked seven shots to add to his 15 points and 10 rebounds. Mark Dolezaj had 18 points as the Orange (9-4, 3-3 ACC) outscored the Hokies 38-26 in the second half as the Hokies struggled.The Orange’s biggest lead was 78-53 entering the final two minutes.With leading scorer Keve Aluma scoreless the first 20 minutes, the Hokies (11-3, 5-2) were led by Nahiem Alleyne, who scored 20 points with 17 coming in the first half. He hit five 3-pointers.Dolezaj scored 14 of his points in a first half that ended with the Orange up only 40-34.
