Houston kept kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn from free agency by re-signing him on Wednesday to a three-year, $15.9 million contract, according to multiple reports.Fairbairn’s four-year deal expired but the Texans moved to bring him back, one day after agreeing to a three-year deal to retain tight end Dalton Schultz.Fairbairn missed only three total field goal tries the past two seasons and has one miss in 12 attempts from 50-plus yards during that span. Fairbairn, 30, booted a team record 61-yarder in 2021.
