Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott ready; LT Tyron Smith targets Thanksgiving

Left tackle Tyron Smith is targeting an early return from left knee injury and the Dallas Cowboys removed all restrictions on running back Ezekiel Elliott ahead of their game Sunday at Green Bay.”Just the way he’s moving around has us all excited,” Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said.Smith suffered an avulsion fracture of his left knee — the hamstring tendon behind the knee separated from the bone, and required surgery — in August. The eight-time Pro Bowl selection was on the practice field working with trainers two days this week.McCarthy smiled Friday when asked about Smith’s timetable and said he’s expect him to be ready in two weeks, or in time for the annual Thanksgiving Day game in Dallas.
