Trevor Campbell – Silsbee Tx

Trevor has played \”hard ball\” since the moment he came into this big world, weighing 1 pound 1 ounce. He was born nearly 4 months early due to severe medical conditions. The odds were stacked against him from day one. Trevor underwent cardiac surgery at just two days old. He suffered chronic lung disease, a brain bleed, damage to his vision, a paralyzed vocal cord, countless other obstacles, and received 17 blood/platelet transfusions. Trevor spent 103 days in the neonatal intensive care unit in Houston, Tx before we were able to bring him home for the first time. During these days, as the diagnosis\’s rolled in, I often wondered if my sweet boy would ever be able to play the game that our family loves so much. He was sent home with oxygen and around the clock heart medications. He couldn\’t crawl or stand on his first birthday. However, this little guy was, and is, a fighter. Slowly but surely, Trevor conquered it all. He lets nothing slow him down. He\’s overcome every obstacle that\’s been thrown his way in his short little lifetime. Not yet ready for machine pitch, due to vision impairment, Trevor is playing his second year of t-ball. We are so proud of him, in every way, and my heart swells each time is see my boy step up to bat. He\’s a Hall of Famer in our eyes, and always will be.
